Oklahoma's Best Kept Secret for Shotgunning!

Your first time to the club.
What to expect.
If it is your first time at the club, don't be afraid to ask someone where is the Sporting Clays Manager? Chances are the Managers will not be sitting behind a desk in the clubhouse, we usually are out working. You will find most members and people at the club to be helpful. Don't be afraid to ask questions. We were all new to the club at some point. We do ask that you speak with someone before getting your gun out of your vehicle. We are serious about safety. We can tolerate most personalities at the club but someone with poor safety practices will be asked to leave.
Come on Down:
When you reach the parking lot, by the club house, continue on the road to the bottom where the sporting clays parking lot is. We don't get up to the clubhouse much, as most of the sporting clay shooters hang out int he lower parking area. Trap shooters in the clubhouse aren't all trained in what you may need to know.
Things to Bring:Shotgun - A clean gun in working order - you would be surprised how many first time shooters gun does not want to feed shells, just clean it and maintain it before you come. You will be happy that you did.
Shells - We allow all shotgun gauges, 12, 20, 28, and 410.
No shot larger than 7-1/2.
7-1/2's and 8's are most common.
Hearing Protection - Muffs or disposable foam are both fine.
Eye Protection - Safety or shooting glasses are best, most eye glasses are acceptable, but safety glasses would be better.
Shell Holder (optional) - these will make shooting much easier as shells will be close at hand.
Positive Attitude - The club is a refuge for those wanting to have a good time, a positive attitude will improve your shooting and enjoyment of the club.
